ADMINISTRATOR KARACHI OPENS ARTS & CRAFTS EXHIBITION

Administrator Karachi Mohammad Hussain Syed has said that there is no dearth of talent in our country. Our youth are very talented and if guided and encouraged they can marvelous work in every field.

He was talking to media representatives after opening the Arts and Crafts Exhibition in the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi on Friday.

DCO Karachi Roshan Ali Shaikh accompanied him on this occasion.
Administrator Karachi said that presently 20 to 25 art galleries in the city were displaying the work of young artists.

He also announced to allocate a corner of the weekly books festival in Frere Hall’s lawn for sale of paintings made by young artists.

Administrator Mohammad Hussain Syed appreciated the measures of Arts Council of Pakistan for promoting arts and cultural activities in the metropolis.

He said that this institute at ACPK was providing good opportunity to young painters and artists on very meager fees to get them trained in the field of arts and crafts.
President Arts Council of Pakistan Ahmed Shah briefed the Administrator about the training imparted to young and mostly from middle and lower class youths by Arts and Crafts Institute in Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi.

Administrator Karachi assured him of financial support from the city government.
Regarding spray campaign in the city, Administrator Karachi said that extensive town wise fumigation campaign was being performed three times daily in the city to control the spread of mosquitoes  and other harmful germs including dengue virus.
